Softball Recap: Tonopah Valley Takes a Loss

Tonopah Valley lost against River Valley back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Phoenix lost 15-2 to the Dust Devils. The Phoenix just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Tonopah Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shiloh Walker, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Tonopah Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for River Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tonopah Valley will head out to challenge ALA - West Foothills at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Highland Prep at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Dust Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Honey Badgers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
