Basketball Game Preview: Oroville Hornets vs. Bridgeport Mustangs

The Oroville Hornets and the Bridgeport Mustangs will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Oroville will be strutting in after a win while Bridgeport will be coming in after a loss.

Oroville took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They strolled past Wilson Creek with points to spare, taking the game 50-31.

Bridgeport might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 62-50 to Moses Lake Christian Academy/Covenant Christian, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Oroville pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Bridgeport, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Oroville lost to Bridgeport at home by a decisive 67-49 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Oroville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
