Soccer Recap: Valley Vista Plays to a Tie

Valley Vista's tournament run continued when they took on Independence on Monday. The Valley Vista Monsoon and the Independence Patriots finished up their match with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Monsoon have been dealt a draw since December 3rd.

Valley Vista's draw makes their record 3-5-2 this season. Meanwhile, Independence's record is now 5-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Vista will venture away from home to take on Boulder Creek at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Valley Vista's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Independence, they won't get a chance for a more definitive result for a while: they'll take on Apollo at 7:00 p.m. on January 13, 2025.
