Basketball Game Preview: St. Ignace Saints vs. Sault Area Blue Devils + How To Watch

The St. Ignace Saints will head out to face off against the Sault Area Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Ignace will be strutting in after a win while Sault Area will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, St. Ignace earned a 53-44 victory over Alcona.

Meanwhile, Sault Area was beaten by Petoskey 83-55 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while the Northmen are ranked 23rd).

Sault Area dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home defeats can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 51.2 points this season. As for St. Ignace, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

St. Ignace came up short against Sault Area in their previous meeting back in February, falling 38-27. Can the Saints avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
