The Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 33) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against George Jenkins and snuck past 39-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Jordan Christian Prep has posted yet this season.

Leading Jordan Christian Prep to victory were Delissa Morris and Delyana Morris. Morris scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Morris scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Morris hasn't dropped below two steals for 16 straight games.

When it comes to explaining why George Jenkins lost, one person who can't be blamed is Taylor Gibson. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Taleah Turner, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Jordan Christian Prep, bringing their record for this year to 12-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for George Jenkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jordan Christian Prep will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Fort Meade at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for George Jenkins, they will head out on the road to take on Lake Region at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake Region is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
