Volleyball Recap: Hobbton Wildcats vs. Union Spartans

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Duplin, Hobbton was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Union Spartans with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played last Tuesday.

Hobbton never let Union on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-23.

Hobbton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive contests.

Hobbton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Union, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.
