Football Recap: Julian Galvez Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mary Star of the Sea

There's no place like home for Lawndale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the Mary Star of the Sea Stars 30-15 on Friday.

Lawndale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julian Galvez, who threw for 205 yards and two TDs on only 17 passes. 85 of Galvez's passing yards were hauled in by King Berry, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Lawndale's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Ebenezer Augustine with two sacks. Cordae Caston got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Lawndale's record is now 4-1. As for Mary Star of the Sea, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Lawndale will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mira Costa at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Mary Star of the Sea, they will challenge Palisades at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Stars' defense better be ready for this one: the Dolphins have averaged an impressive 33.2 points per game this season.
