Volleyball Game Preview: Portage Indians vs. Illiana Christian Vikings

The Portage Indians will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Illiana Christian Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Portage is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell just short of Michigan City by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Portage took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-21, 21-25, 23-25, 25-14, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Illiana Christian suffered their biggest loss since April 25, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Homewood-Flossmoor, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 25-16.
