Football Recap: Melvindale Falls to Clarenceville in First Game of Season

Melvindale kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Clarenceville Trojans, falling 40-14. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 14-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Looking ahead, Melvindale will head out on the road to take on Robichaud at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Cardinals their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Clarenceville, they will look to defend their home field on September 5 against Lutheran North at 7:00 p.m.
