Walton prepares to host a special TOC 2013-14 ceremony where the girls volleyball team will
be nationally recognized by MaxPreps.
MaxPreps is pleased to announce that the
Walton (Marietta, Ga.) Raiders have officially been named to the 4th Annual MaxPreps Volleyball Tour of Champions Presented by the Army National Guard.
This exclusive honor is reserved for only 10 of the best teams in the entire country. Given the fact that 17,000 varsity teams compete, that puts the Raiders ahead of 99.9 percent of their opponents!
In order to be eligible, the team not only had to be nationally ranked, but also had to win a state championship. Beating Chattahoochee 3-1 on Nov. 1 marked the completion of an incredible 45-5 season — and earned Walton an invitation to the Tour of Champions.
