Baseball Recap: Valley Forge Takes a Loss

Valley Forge extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 22 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-7. They lost 10-0 to the Bay Rockets. The Patriots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rockets from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

As for Bay, their record now sits at 5-6. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

For Bay's part, Andrew Liatti made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Bay is 3-1 when Liatti allows two or fewer hits, but 2-5 otherwise. Liatti was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Egan, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack McManamon, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.

While Valley Forge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
