Soccer Recap: Antioch Takes a Loss

Antioch lost against Hillsboro back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Burros who were credited with the win. The Hillsboro Burros got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Antioch Bears' three. While losing is never fun, Antioch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Hillsboro are ranked 17th).

Antioch now has a losing record of 6-7-2. As for Hillsboro, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-1-2.

Antioch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hillsboro, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Cane Ridge on the 8th.
