Basketball Recap: Vicksburg Comes Up Short

Vicksburg was the 42-34 winner over Columbus when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vicksburg Gators fell just short of the Columbus Falcons by a score of 59-56 on Friday. The Gators' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Vicksburg's record is now 9-6. As for Columbus, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.

When Vicksburg and Columbus next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Vicksburg will try to stop Neshoba Central's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Columbus will square off against Callaway and their six-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
