Basketball Recap: Winnsboro Comes Up Short

Winnsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 55-36 to the Lone Oak Buffaloes. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-30 back in December of 2024.

Winnsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Lone Oak, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-12.

Winnsboro will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rains at 7:30 p.m. As for Lone Oak, they will square off against Commerce at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Commerce will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Lone Oak surely won't give up without a fight.
