Hackberry is a perfect 5-0 against Johnson Bayou since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mustangs will head out to face off against the Rebels at 5:00 p.m. Hackberry will be strutting in after a win while Johnson Bayou will be coming in after a defeat.

While Hackberry's victory against Singer wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs skirted past the Hornets 6-4. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Johnson Bayou came up short against South Cameron on Tuesday, falling 19-1. The loss continues a trend for the Rebels in their meetings with the Tarpons: they've now lost seven in a row.

Johnson Bayou's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Hackberry, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.

Everything went Hackberry's way against Johnson Bayou in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Hackberry made off with a 21-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
