Softball Recap: Bartlett Takes a Loss

Bartlett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-2 to the Worcester Tech Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Indians have lost by exactly four runs.

Dakota Vaudreuil put in work no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Vaudreuil wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Taryn Gerber, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Bartlett's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Worcester Tech, they pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Bartlett will look to defend their home field on Monday against Oxford at 3:30 p.m. As for Worcester Tech, they will square off against North Brookfield at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
