Newfane extends home winning streak to 11

Recap: Newfane Panthers vs. Charter School for Applied Tech Eagles

The Newfane Panthers waltzed into their matchup Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 53-45 victory over Charter School for Applied Tech. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Newfane has scored all year.

Nate Snow continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with seven rebounds. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Landon Braman, who scored nine points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

Newfane pushed their record up to 7-1 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Charter School for Applied Tech, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.

Newfane will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Barker at 6:30 p.m. Barker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 478th, while Newfane is ranked 176th). As for Charter School for Applied Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Orchard Park at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Orchard Park's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
