Basketball Recap: Cooper Triumphs

Cooper proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 21) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They pulled ahead with a 43-42 photo finish over Broaddus. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Cooper has posted since February 11th.

Cooper's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jequan Brown, who shot 40% from the field en route to 15 points and four steals. Brayden Williams was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Cooper has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Broaddus, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Cooper will venture away from home to challenge Tom Bean at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Broaddus, they will be home for the holidays to greet San Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
