Basketball Recap: Leesburg Christian Prep Comes Up Short

Leesburg Christian Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 91-32 loss at the hands of the Southland Christian FLAMES. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-16.

Kedwin Hawkins was a one-man wrecking crew for Southland Christian as he dropped a double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 boards gave Hawkins a new career-high. Ismael Perez was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Leesburg Christian Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Southland Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 23-3.

Leesburg Christian Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southland Christian, they will host DME Academy Blue at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
