Recap: Covenant Classical Warriors vs. North Hills Christian Eagles

The Covenant Classical Warriors came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against North Hills Christian by a score of 53-42. That's another feather in the cap for Covenant Classical, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

North Hills Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Shehan, who scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Shehan scored 15 or more points. Reese Merrell was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds and six assists.

Even though they lost, North Hills Christian were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Covenant Classical is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for North Hills Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Covenant Classical's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lee Park Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Hopefully Lee Park Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Thursday. As for North Hills Christian, North Hills Christian and Lee Christian will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
