The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Fairfield Union who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 22-25, 26-24, 19-25, 19-17.

Fairfield Union's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Adi Bradford, who had 25 digs and one assist, and Isabella Ritchie, who had 30 digs, nine kills, four aces, and two blocks. Those 30 digs gave Ritchie a new career-high.
They weren't the only good servers: Fairfield Union was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bloom-Carroll, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Liberty Union on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Bloom-Carroll took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-10, 25-14.
Fairfield Union's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Bloom-Carroll, their win bumped their record up to 17-1.
