Football Game Preview: Wesley Chapel Wildcats vs. Sunlake Seahawks + Official Tickets

The Wesley Chapel Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Sunlake Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sunlake took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wesley Chapel, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Wesley Chapel earned a 28-16 victory over Cypress Creek. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wesley Chapel to victory, but perhaps none more so than TJ Aguilar, who rushed for 50 yards and a pair of TDs, and also caught one score. Tavion Cousin helped out on the ground, rushing for 102 yards.

Meanwhile, Sunlake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Land O' Lakes, falling 27-7.

Sunlake didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Keegan Bryant and Brandon Lester. Bryant has been hot recently, having also posted at least one defended passe the last three times he's played.

Sunlake now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Wesley Chapel, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Wesley Chapel couldn't quite get it done against Sunlake in their previous meeting back in August of 2023 as they fell 17-6. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
