Basketball Recap: Merrill Comes Up Short

Merrill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 77-27 loss at the hands of the Stevens Point Panthers. The game marked the Bluejays' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Merrill's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Stevens Point, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7.

Coming up, Merrill will host Tomahawk at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Stevens Point, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 79-73 victory against Sun Prairie East on the 8th.
