Football Game Preview: Keystone Panthers vs. Coudersport Falcons

The Keystone Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Coudersport Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Keystone made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Redbank Valley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Panthers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 37-34 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Coudersport, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Bucktail 40-14 on Friday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Bucks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

One reason for the win was Coudersport's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Carson Cooney was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Keystone now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Coudersport, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Keystone against Coudersport in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 58-20 win. In that game, the Panthers amassed a halftime lead of 44-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
