Recap: Van Vandals vs. Bullard Panthers
The Van Vandals were the 35-28 winner over the Bullard Panthers when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Van fell 28-21 to Bullard on Friday. It was the first time this season that Van let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, Van still got an impressive performance from Jaxon Moffatt, who rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 194 yards and a touchdown.
Crew Bowman was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 216 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Clifford Douglas, who picked up 94 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Van's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Bullard, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
Van will be playing at home against Spring Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Spring Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 543rd, while Van is ranked 123rd). Bullard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
