Anna kept a clean sheet against Sherman on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Bearcats 1-0. Anna's winning goal came courtesy of Aleida Ortiz.

Anna pushed their record up to 4-8-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matchups. As for Sherman, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Anna will square off against rival Walnut Grove at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sherman is set to challenge their familiar foe Denison at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
