Preview: Victor Blue Devils vs. Brighton Bruins
Victor is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Brighton is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Victor Blue Devils will take on the Brighton Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Victor's game was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They strolled past Churchville-Chili with points to spare, taking the game 28-14.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Victor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adam Ruffalo, who picked up 81 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Jameson Ricigliano jr., who rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Brighton sidestepped Irondequoit for a 15-12 win.
Victor's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Brighton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Victor strolled past Brighton in their previous meeting back in September by a score of 21-7. Does Victor have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brighton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
