St. Ursula Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Mason Comets by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won ten matchups in a row dating back to last season.

While St. Ursula Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mason scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 21-25, 25-20, 25-22.

St. Ursula Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Frietch out in front who had 24 digs and six assists. Frietch has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 16 times she's played. Kayla Dwyer was another key player, getting eight digs and two aces.

St. Ursula Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Bishop Fenwick on the 21st. As for Mason, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Ursuline Academy on the 21st.
