Volleyball Recap: St. Ursula Academy Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

St. Ursula Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Mason Comets by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won nine in a row.

While St. Ursula Academy might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mason scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 21-25, 25-20, 25-22.

St. Ursula Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Frietch out in front who had 24 digs and six assists. That's the most assists Frietch has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kayla Dwyer, who had eight digs and two aces.

Coming up, St. Ursula Academy will venture away from home to take on Bishop Fenwick at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mason, they will welcome Ursuline Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
