Volleyball Recap: Trinity Academy Starts Season with Win on the Road

Trinity Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They won by a set and slipped past the Louisburg Wildcats 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since September 30, 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Trinity Academy who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-16, 23-25, 25-22.

Audrey Smith paced Trinity Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Smith got some help from Krista Eklund and her 13 assists. Grace Barrett controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Louisburg fell to 2-1.

Trinity Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Piper on the 9th. As for Louisburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Ottawa on the 11th.
