Volleyball Recap: Oakwood Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hearts Academy on Thursday, Oakwood Christian came back down to earth. The Eagles fell 2-0 to the Dade County Wolverines on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost three in a row.

Oakwood Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20.

Oakwood Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Dade County, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Oakwood Christian and Dade County will both be playing Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe the next time they take the court. The Wolverines will head out to face the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
