Basketball Game Preview: River City Raiders vs. Vacaville Bulldogs

The River City Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the Vacaville Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

River City is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Vanden on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. River City took a blow against Vanden, falling 71-44. The Raiders have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Vacaville can bid farewell to their 19-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Friday. They put the hurt on Pioneer with a sharp 71-50 win. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Vacaville's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-15. As for River City, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-15.

River City came up short against Vacaville in their previous meeting back in November of 2018, falling 66-57. Can River City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
