Baseball Recap: Paul W. Bryant Takes a Loss

Paul W. Bryant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Brookwood Panthers, falling 21-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-8 last Tuesday.

CaJorie Merriweather was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Paul W. Bryant is 4-1 when Merriweather posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-14 otherwise.

Paul W. Bryant's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Brookwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-19.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paul W. Bryant will challenge Jackson-Olin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brookwood, they will take on American Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
