Baseball Recap: Huron Comes Up Short

Huron extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 17-21. They fell 9-5 to the Dexter Dreadnaughts. The River Rats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dreadnaughts earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

As for Dexter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games.

For Dexter's part, the team relied heavily on Cole Novara, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. What's more, Novara posted two hits, the most he's had over his last 11 games.

Huron does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dexter, they have already played their next contest, a 5-4 victory against Skyline on the 30th.
