Basketball Recap: Minarets Gets the Win

Minarets hadn't done well against Orange Cove recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Mustangs snuck past the Titans with a 52-48 win. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 57-50 victory the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Bruce Lee was a one-man wrecking crew as he dropped a double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds. Michael Reyes was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.

Minarets was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Minarets' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Orange Cove, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Minarets will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lindsay at 6:30 p.m. on the 3rd. As for Orange Cove, they have already played their next game, a 62-43 defeat against Delano on the 26th.
