Softball Recap: Bisbee Pumas vs. Benson Bobcats
Bisbee had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 11-8 to make it four. They took an 18-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Benson Bobcats. The Pumas were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bobcats earlier this season, when they won 16-9.

Bisbee got a massive performance out of Franki Hernandez, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Hernandez has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Xenia Ballesteros, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
As for Benson, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-16. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
On Benson's side, they let Alyana Bosley and Karris Taylor run wild. Bosley went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Taylor went 3-for-4 with one home run, five runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Bosley a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail Lutz, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.
Looking ahead, Bisbee will welcome San Miguel at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Benson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
