Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Takes a Loss

St. Joseph was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lakeshore Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 on Saturday.

Ryan Buist was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (two).

St. Joseph's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-1. As for Lakeshore, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

While St. Joseph had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
