Volleyball Recap: Newport Finds Home Court Redemption Against Williamstown

There's no place like home for Newport, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Williamstown Demons by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Wildcats were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Demons, so the Wildcats were just returning the favor.

Newport's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Williamstown, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newport will square off against Carroll County at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Williamstown, they will take on Bellevue at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
