Wilson Memorial and Fort Defiance are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Wilson Memorial Green Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fort Defiance Indians at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Cougars are ranked 114th).

Wilson Memorial's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points over those games. As for Fort Defiance, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Everything came up roses for Wilson Memorial against Fort Defiance when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 53-19 win. Will Wilson Memorial repeat their success, or does Fort Defiance have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
