Basketball Recap: Fairlawn Takes a Loss

Fairlawn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin Monroe Jets. If Fairlawn was looking for revenge after losing 33-27 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Fairlawn's record now sits at 2-13. As for Franklin Monroe, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10.

Fairlawn and Franklin Monroe could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Fairlawn will challenge Fort Loramie at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 636 places (677 vs. 41). Meanwhile, Franklin Monroe (ranked 642nd) will meet Tri-Village (ranked 145th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
