Softball Game Preview: Lower Dauphin Falcons vs. Central Dauphin Rams

Lower Dauphin hasn't had much luck against Central Dauphin recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Falcons will challenge the Rams at 4:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Central Dauphin will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Lower Dauphin extended their winning streak to eight on Friday. Everything went the Falcons' way against Carlisle as they made off with a 23-3 victory. The Falcons' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Lower Dauphin got a massive performance out of Audrey Ritter, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-5. Those two home runs gave Ritter a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyllee Schmidt, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lower Dauphin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Central Dauphin owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They blew past State College 6-0. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Little Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Lower Dauphin's record is now 17-5. As for Central Dauphin, their record now sits at 15-3.

Lower Dauphin suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Central Dauphin when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
