Discovery is a perfect 9-0 against Valley Oaks CES since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Discovery will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley Oaks CES at 3:00 p.m.

After dropping their season opener at home, Valley Oaks CES is headed out to face a Warriors squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Discovery lost 13-1 to Lakeview Charter on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since March 18, 2024.

Meanwhile, Valley Oaks CES hadn't done well against Community Charter recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Valley Oaks CES put the hurt on Community Charter with a sharp 15-3 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vanguards.

Andre Zuniga made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Zuniga was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Justin Rendon, who went 2-for-3 with seven RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Nathan Munoz, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
