Soccer Game Preview: Trabuco Hills vs. Dana Hills

The Trabuco Hills Mustangs will head out on the road to challenge the Dana Hills Dolphins at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Trabuco Hills' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Trabuco Hills is headed into Wednesday's following a draw, the team's first since December 6. Neither they nor Tesoro could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Dana Hills' and Tesoro's matchup on Wednesday was close at halftime, but Dana Hills turned on the heat in the second half with two goals. Everything went Dana Hills' way against Tesoro as Dana Hills made off with a 3-0 win. Given the Dolphins' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Titans are ranked 692nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dana Hills' victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3-1 and their overall record up to 6-3-2. With that draw, Trabuco Hills' record moves to 7-6-3.

Trabuco Hills beat Dana Hills by a goal in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trabuco Hills since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
