Wyoming East is 0-6 against Woodrow Wilson since April of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Flying Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wyoming East took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over Midland Trail. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Carli Raye was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaydee Shrewsbury, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and one stolen base while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Kendra Cook also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Wyoming East kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.
Woodrow Wilson came out on top against Oak Hill on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Flying Eagles took their contest against the Red Devils 7-4. The Flying Eagles haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Aubrey Smallwood made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Shailee Sexton was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Kacie Fraley was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one RBI.
Wyoming East's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Woodrow Wilson, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.
