Baseball Recap: Lee-Scott Academy Warriors vs. Saint James Trojans
Lee-Scott Academy proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by eight) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Saint James Trojans, sneaking past 5-3. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Trojans back in February, they had to take a 4-1 defeat.
Max Hammer looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.
On the hitting side, Lee-Scott Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Gregory, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Lee-Scott Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.
