The East Columbus Gators will head out on the road to square off against the South Columbus Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Columbus is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.8 runs per game this season.

Last Friday, East Columbus earned a 9-5 win over East Bladen. The victory continues a trend for the Gators in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Gracie Coyle was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Coyle was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, East Columbus let Aleigh Godwin and Jenna King run wild. Godwin scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4, while King went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Kamora Bryant was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for South Columbus, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with an 11-8 win over Pender on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Stallions considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

The victory got South Columbus back to even at 3-3. As for East Columbus, their record is now 8-2.

East Columbus skirted past South Columbus 5-3 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will East Columbus repeat their success, or does South Columbus has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
