Baseball Recap: Neshaminy Gets the Win

Neshaminy never let their opponents score on Monday. They came out on top against the Council Rock South Golden Hawks by a score of 5-0. The win continues a trend for the Skins in their matchups with the Golden Hawks: they've now won three in a row.

The result came thanks to Jared Kligerman's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dan Marable, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Mike Sassano also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Neshaminy's record now sits at 8-4-1. As for Council Rock South, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Neshaminy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Golden Hawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
