Basketball Game Preview: Lake George Lakers vs. Saranac Lake Red Storm

The Lake George Lakers will head out to take on the Saranac Lake Red Storm at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Lake George is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Cambridge on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Lake George came up short against Cambridge, falling 65-43. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dan Weaver put forth a good effort for the losing side as he went 7 for 16 on his way to 19 points and three steals. Those 19 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ricky Stroup, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Saranac Lake was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 57-51 to Massena.

Lake George's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Saranac Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
