Volleyball Game Preview: Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougars vs. Mill Valley Jaguars + How To Watch

The Shawnee Mission Northwest Cougars are taking a road trip to take on the Mill Valley Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Shawnee Mission Northwest is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kansas' top teams: Olathe Northwest, who was ranked 12th at the time (Shawnee Mission Northwest was ranked 20th). The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Ravens on Thursday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Ravens recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Shawnee Mission Northwest started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Mill Valley entered their tilt with Blue Valley Southwest on Saturday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Timberwolves.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:three sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 26-24, 27-25.

Shawnee Mission Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Mill Valley, their win bumped their record up to 25-4.
