Basketball Game Preview: Rogers Pirates vs. Colbert County Indians

The Rogers Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the Colbert County Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Rogers sitting on three straight wins and Colbert County on five.

Rogers is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 43-34 victory over Lauderdale County.

Meanwhile, Colbert County strolled past Clements with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 67-50. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Colts are ranked 416th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rogers pushed their record up to 13-11 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Colbert County, they are also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Rogers was able to grind out a solid victory over Colbert County when the teams last played back in January, winning 54-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rogers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
